Fortune Happiness Hat Trick

Fortune Happiness has started the 2019/20 Hong Kong Season with a Hat Trick of wins all over 1200m. The 'Magic Man' Joao Moreira has been in the saddle for all three victories.

Fortune Happiness is the flag bearer for Todd Blum Bloodstock in Hong Kong as a yearling purchase in conjunction with Frankie Stockdale.

The son of Starspangledbanner was purchased amongst a group of colts to be on-sold at the Inglis Ready 2 Race sale by Stockdale.

Originally purchased for $105,000 at the 2016 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale, he was then purchased by Magus Equine from Hong Kong for $150,000 at the Inglis Ready 2 Race Sale later that same year.

"It is always great to see the resulted buyer getting a result with the horse," said Todd Blum.

"Frankie had some success with the Ready 2 Race Sale the previous year and I was just starting to do some work with him at the time so I was there when he had a really good result with a So You Think.

"He then had a real focus to target the sale the next year with some colts at varying markets and this colt was at the pointy end of it."
