Magical Win For Brooker Park

Just Magical provided breeder, John Pratt, a tremendous thrill on the weekend with yet another city win. Just Magical beat Fast Cash by 0.1 lengths in the William Hill Handicap over 1200m, the last on the card at Moonee Valley yesterday.

The five-year-old gelded son of Magic Albert is trained at Mornington by the Lyn Tolson and Leonie Proctor partnership, who have a high opinion of this horse.

Michael Walker was on board who has now ridden Just Magical in all four of his wins. Just Magical has had 16 starts and five second placings to go along with those wins.

Just Magical is becoming the poster horse for John Pratt's Brooker Park with his winnings now going past $170,000.

"It is great to see what this horse is doing and especially pleasing to see that Lyn and Leonie are having some success as I have a few horses with them including some by my own stallion (Danesis) and they have also sent some of their own mares to him as well," said Pratt.

Todd Blum Bloodstock are currently working with Brooker Park with the development of their website as the farm continues to grow.

"John is doing a brilliant job continuing to grow his operation and he has a brilliant set-up on that rich Gippsland grass," added Todd Blum.

"John continues to add quality mares to his broodmare band and with the progeny of his stallion, Danesis, now three-year-old's, the trainers are starting to see really positive signs."

Danesis raced in Hong Kong after setting a record for the highest priced yearling selling in Hong Kong. He is by sire of sire's, Danehill, and is out of Sister Dot, making him a half brother to Dehere.

Tolson and Proctor also have the half brother to Just Magical, The Wolman, who runs in the Brooker Park colours.
