I'm Telling Ya The Winner
I'm Telling Ya was a class above the rest of the field yesterday in the Polytrack Maiden Plate for two-year-old's at Racing.com Park.
The Amy Johnston trained son of Reward For Effort started as a clear favourite and saluted in style by over 3 lengths.
It was yet another winner for Bruce Maya's Mayford Park, who is a part-owner in the promising colt.
"He showed us a bit of promise with his first start being a fourth at Flemington and then to come out and win impressively at Pakenham is great to see." Said Maya.
I'm Telling Ya was a $20,000 buy for Amy Johnston out of the 2015 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale out of the Tara Farm draft.
"I think we paid well under the odds when we bought this horse for only $20,000 and this gives everyone a chance to get involved in racehorse ownership," Amy Johnston said.
I'm Telling Ya is out of the Success Express mare, Rapid Sensation, who was herself a three time winner and amassed over $128,000 in prize money as well as being Group 2 placed.
Jonston is now likely to give the two-year-old a spell and bring him back for some of the main three-year-old races of the Spring.
