First Metro Runner For TBB

This Saturday's meeting at Flemington will see the first metro runner for Todd Blum Bloodstock.

Eminent Son will line up in the first race of the day, the Eugene Gorman Handicap over 1100m, with the in-form Ben Thompson to take the ride.

Eminent Son is making only his second race track appearance after debuting a fortnight ago at Racing.com Park - where he finished third - after doing all of the bullocking work at the front of the field before just being pipped on the line by Bay Harmony and Electrolyte.

"We have kept him pretty fresh and he has come through his first start really well." Said trainer, Frankie Stockdale.

"He ran really well last start and he had to do a lot of work early in the race and the end of the 1200m first-up probably got him so we think that the 1100m will really suit him this weekend."

A $100,000 purchase for Frankie Stockdale and Todd Blum Bloodstock from the 2015 Magic Millions Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale - Eminent Son is by Husson and is out of the Secret Savings mare, Cash Crazy.

"Frankie has him looking very fit and he ran a huge race at Pakenham for his debut so the owners are really looking forward to getting down to Flemington and seeing him run again." Added Todd Blum.

TBB will also be looking forward to seeing the John McArdle trained, Los Cabos, who is in the same race as well as the Mayford Park owned, I'm Telling Ya.

Los Cabos is out of a half sister to Rawoof - a mare purchased privately by TBB for trainer Adam O'Neill - and could provide an important pedigree update for Rawoof for when she enters her breeding career after racing.
