Eminent Son To Debut
The Frankie Stockdale trained Eminent Son will make his racetrack debut this Thursday at Racing.com Park, in the Bendigo Community Bank 2YO Maiden Plate, with Damian Lane to take the ride.
The chestnut colt is by Husson and is out of the Secret Savings mare, Cash Crazy, and was a $100,000 purchase out of the Magic Millions Two-Year-Old Horses In Training Sale last year for Frankie Stockdale and Todd Blum Bloodstock.
Eminent Son makes his debut after trialing at Cranbourne in a two-year-old trial a fortnight ago - finishing third - with Jaws Of Steel finishing second in the same trial and then going on to place at Saturday's Flemington meeting.
"Frankie has continued to be impressed with this colt since he put him into work at his Sale stables last year". Said Todd Blum.
"He gave him a short prep later last year before giving him plenty of time in the paddock just to continue to grow and fill out and then the colt has done everything asked of him and impressed since being in work.
"He is a magnificent looking horse and moves really well as shown in his video when going through the Magic Millions Sale and is certainly a horse that has shown he may give his owners plenty of fun going forward.
"Most of the owners that are in him are first time owners so hopefully he can go on and provide them with a good start to racing."
