Faatinah Claims Group 2 Win

The David Hayes and Tom Dabernig trained Faatinah was an impressive winner of the Group 2 UBET Stakes at Morphetville yesterday, significantly boosting the pedigree of the TBB private purchase Rawoof, now trained by Adam O'Neill.

Faatinah was ridden by Matthew Nielson in the three-year-old event that featured some class horses in the field such as the Hawkes trained, Sooboog, the Godoplphin colt Demonstrate, and the very talented Think Big owned filly Miss Gunpowder.

Faatinah is a gelded son of the Widden based stallion, Nicconi, who was also trained by David Hayes and is out of the Danehill mare, Alqwah, making him a half sister to Rawoof.

Rawoof was formally owned by Shadwell Stud, who still own Faatinah, and was a private purchase for clients of Adam O'Neill who is based at Bendigo.

Faatinah debuted after the sale and has only gone from strength to strength and will now likely take is place in the Group 1 Goodwood in a fortnight at the same course.
