Easy Best At Echuca
Easy Best got off to a dream start for the Adam O'Neill stable for new connections after being purchased privately in a deal brokered by Todd Blum Bloodstock.
The four-year-old gelding won yesterday at Echuca, winning the Moama Bowling Club Handicap over 1400m.
He was ridden by Cory Parish who took the son of Easy Choice towards the front of the field, after jumping away well and settled just behind the leading pair, before reeling out at the home turn and running away with it down the home straight.
"He was a horse that Adam was really keen on for a group of owners he trains for and has had some success with and this horse fitted their needs brilliantly." Said Todd Blum.
"It was great to see him win first up for Adam as he has changed a few things with him and swapped a bit around which has obviously worked for the horse so it is a testament to his ability as a trainer to get this horse up who looked to have lost his way a bit and get him winning first up."
O'Neill added, "he is a big strong horse, very powerful, and we were of the belief that he is better suited to being a sprinter so we were very happy with the win today for our team but also for the group of owners that are in him."
It is yet another winner for TBB and Adam O'Neill in what is looking to be the start of a great association between the pair who will be looking for another win together when Zoot Suit Riot lines up at Geelong on Tuesday.
