Busy Inglis Premier For TBB
TBB were successful in securing seven lots at the recent Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale with Frankie Stockdale Racing.
"Frankie has been active at the sales this year as he is looking for a strong team of horses to take up to the Inglis Ready2Race sale later in the year, after having some success there the past couple years." Explained Todd Blum.
The pair struck on the first day purchasing Lot 77, a Bel Esprit x Kahala Dreams filly out of the Eliza Park International Draft.
"She is the first foal of a More Than Ready mare and Frankie has another Bel Esprit filly at home that he purchased last year and he is quite happy with her so this filly may just be retained to race."
Three lots were purchased on the second day, Reward For Effort x Malakini (Chatswood), Lonhro x Murra Mary (Supreme) and Sepoy x Rossa Mia (Hillside).
"The Lonhro colt was a very attractive colt and the Sepoy looks ready made, a nice strong compact sort of horse."
The third day of the four-day-event saw the purchase of another two colts from the Rosemont Stud draft. Starspangledbanner x Suite and the Star Witness x Body Language colt later in the day.
The Starspangledbanner colt was the highest lot of the seven purchased with a price of $105,000.
The last lot purchased came out of the Premier Two Catalogue on the last day, lot 702 Americain x Zadiamond colt out of the Daisy Hill Draft.
"There is a great mix of colts here and the filly by a range of sires including some of the leading sires in the country, and some that are expected to be," said Todd.
"It is exciting for TBB and Frankie Stockdale Racing going forward and the start to this sales season is just further proof that our association is going from strength to strength."
