TBB Fillies Looking For Pedigree Updates
It will be an exciting weekend for connections of TBB fillies Rawoof, purchased for clients of Adam O'Neill and Host x Northeast Note filly, who TBB clients are involved, also trained by Adam O'Neill.
The Robbie Griffiths trained, Northkape, is a half sister to the Host x Northeast Note filly who was purchased by O'Neill and is in his care at his Bendigo base.
She makes a return to the track at Moonee Valley tonight, in what will be her first start as a three-year-old. Northkape burst onto the scene with a win at Cranbourne in the $100,000 Vobis Gold Plate in June. She then had one more start, at Caulfield, in which she had no luck and finished in the second half of the field.
She then headed for an 18 week spell and has sinced trialled at Cranbourne. Northkape will be ridden by Matthew Allen.
Los Cabos will line up in the two-year-old race on Sandown Cup Day for Mick Price and in-form jockey, Dwayne Dunn.
The two-year-old colt is by More Than Ready and is out of the Elusive Quality mare, Jalsah, who is a half to Rawoof. Jalsah has had one foal to race so far for a winner in Salamaat.
Los Cabos trialled in preperation for his debut at Cranbourne last Monday and please Mick price enough to press on.
He finished third but was ridden quietly throughout and not asked to do to much.
Both Rawoof and the Host filly still have plenty of racing to do yet, but are both shaping up to have bright futures at stud and recent updates to their pedigree's will only enhance their futures.
