Another Pedigree Update For Rawoof
Salamaat looked very impressive breaking his maiden on Wednesday at Seymour in the 1400m, Rytec Lighting PTY LTD Maiden Plate.
At his third start the gelded son of Reaan, travelled well throughout under Michael Walker and looked to get caught behind horses on the turn. Walker then steered him out of trouble across heels and he streamed past them to win by a length.
Bred and retained to race by Shadwell, Salamaat, is out of the Elusive Quality mare, Jalsah. who is out of another Shadwell mare in Alqwah. That makes Jalsah a half sister to Rawoof, who Todd Blum Bloodstock purchased privately for Adam O'Neill Racing.
That is the second significant pedigree update for Rawoof since the purchase, with the first being three-year-old half brother, Faatinah, winning on debut last week.
Rawoof has been progressing very well since joining the O'Neill stable and is showing that she too will be able to make a statement on the track.
With the family of Rawoof constantly improving, there are some exciting times ahead for Rawoof connections and for TBB. Rawoof has had one start so far in her career in January this year as a three-year-old.
