Rawoof to Join O'Neill Stable
Clients of the Adam O'Neill stable have aquired the exciting Lonhro filly, Rawoof, in a deal brokered by Todd Blum Bloodstock.
Rawoof was formerly owned by her breeder, Shadwell, and trained by David Hayes and Tom Dabernig. The three year old filly by Lonhro and out of the Danehill mare, Alqwah, was purchased by Ponderosa Park at this years Inglis Broodmare and Weanling Sale at Newmarket in May.
Ponderosa Park then had to regretfully sell the mare due to unfortunate circumstances. Paul Kelly of Ponderosa Park entrusted TBB to sell the filly as Todd had shown interest in her when she was first purchased.
Adam O'Neill is excited at the prospect of training the Lonhro filly and is also glad that his clients have had this opportunity to purchase such a well bred filly. They have been long time O'Neill clients and Rawoof will make a great addition to there broodmare band once she is retired from racing.
Rawoof has had one start in her career so far which was a tenth at Geelong at the start of this year. She finished further back after copping some interference during the run and was probably not entirely ready to go to the races.
She has since been given plenty of time and has really matured and will only continue to improve.
"There aren't to many opportunities such as this one, to buy a Lonhro filly out of a Danehill mare, so I am glad that clients of Adam's have this opportunity and can add her to their broodmare band in the future." Explained Todd.
This is another step for Todd Blum Bloodstock and their relationship with Adam O'Neill Racing going forward.
It is also the second former Shadwell horse that TBB has been involved in with the first being Alkaaser who he purchased for Lenny Xuereb at the recent Inglis Great Southern Sale from the Lindsay Park operation of David Hayes and Tom Dabernig.
