Mayford Park To Host New Filly

Mayford Park have bought into Adam O'Neill's exciting filly Host x Northeast Note. The deal brokered by Todd Blum Bloodstock will see Bruce Maya's Mayford Park have interest in an O'Neill trained horse for the first time.

"To see what the half to this filly did at Cranbourne the other day was exceptional," explained Maya.

"At the value this filly represents and the potential she has after the significant updates with the weanling and two year old at the races and sales on Sunday she is worth a crack." He concluded.

The filly's is out of the Stravinsky mare, Northeast Note, and her first foal is a filly by former Swettenham stallion Kaphero. The filly is the Robbie Griffiths trained Northkape who was a convincing winner of the 1000m Vobis Gold Plate at Cranbourne on the 21 June.

The Host filly is the yearling and has been broken in and is already showing the promise that is now expected from the family.

The weanling colt is by Americain and went through the Inglis Great Southern Sale and was purchased by Bunyip Nursery, Ampulla Lodge, for $85,000.

Adam O'Neill is excited with the potential this filly has and said it is always nice to have new owners in the stable.
