Great Southern Purchases for TBB

Todd Blum Bloodstock were active on the last day of the Great Southern Sale purchasing two lots, both of which were tried horses for new clients.

Lot 715, Mattan, was purchased in conjunction with Adam O'Neill Racing is what is the first step in a partnership that will be ever more prominent with the two young parties joining forces.

The New Approach gelding is out of the Redoute's Choice mare, Future Choice. This makes it a half to the Group 3 winining Lonhro filly, Eight Till Late. Other recent stakes winners featured in the page dripping with black type is the Colin Little trained Blue Ribbon.

Mattan is a very talented horse already being a city winner at Moonee Valley and will benefit greatly from the relaxed environment at Adam's Bendigo stables. Mattan was purchased for $6,000 which is excellent value for a horse of his ability.

The second purchase came later in the day with lot 805, Alkaaser, being purchased out of the supplementary catalogue.

The former David Hayes and Tom Dabernig trained, Shadwell owned, gelding has plenty of promise as he to has a very impressive page with his dam, Hathrah, being a full sister to Legible, the dam of Trusting.

He is by the Hussonet stallion Reaan which gives him direct lines to Hussonet/Mr. Prospector, Danehill and Zabeel as well as Nijinsky all of which are with out doubt some of the best stallions ever to enter the stud book.

Alkaaser was purchased for $3,000 for Moe trainer, Len Xuereb.

There are still opportunities available to get involved with either of these two promising and affordable opportunities so please feel free to get in contact with us for any further information or questions you may have.
