Stitch Up The Win

A bumper card at Caulfield on Saturday involves the Shane Nichols trained, Stitch Me Up, contesting the Thoroughbred Breeders Victoria Vobis Gold Reef over 1600m.

Coming off a very fast finishing third down the middle of the track at Swan Hill over 1300m, he is well suited to the step up in distance.

The son of Choisir was purchased by Gleneagles Stud at the 2013 Magic Millions Yearling Sale and runs in the colours of Kevin Wacey's operation with the white silks with a red and gold hoop.

Stitch Me Up is looking as though he may be recapturing some of the promise that he showed at the start of the season when he won at Sandown in his first start as a three year old.

Jamie Mott has been booked to ride again having ridden the horse three times previously. Of those three races he has finished third twice.

It looks to be a competitibe race with owners and trainers looking to take advantage of the lucrative Vobis Gold bonus scheme.
