Canadian Major Heads To Sandown

Last start winner Canadian Major will take his place in The Le Pines Funerals Handicap over 1600m at Sportingbet Park Sandown on Wednesday. The Commands gelding will be ridden by apprentice Josh Cartwright who has had an impressive record riding for the Mayford Park Team.

Canadian Major is a specialist over the mile with three wins and a second coming from his seven starts over the journey.

Bruce Maya, owner of Mayford Park, said "he was really happy with the way 'The Major' was going so far this prep."

"He came back to Gelagotis' off the farm in great shape and he has only continued to improve from there. He won a trial and then ran really well first up and then won his last start."

There is currently a great opportunity to get involved in Canadian Major at the moment also. He is a four time winner amassing prizemoney just short of $50,000 so far. He is lightly raced with only 16 starts so there is plenty more racing left in him.

Please feel free to contact me at any time if you are interested in getting involved and after tomorrow, he may just be a city winner.
