The Robbie Laing trained Wimborne (pictured) broke through for his first victory at Geelong on Sunday with victory in the Quinlans Cranes Maiden Plate over 1535m. Mayford Park were delighted to see the talented horse add another winner for Blue Gum Farm's shuttle stallion, Canford Cliffs. Bruce Maya has sent his Fastnet Rock mare, Trinity House, to the son of Tagula for her first two seasons at stud. Both matings have resulted in filly foals. I'm Telling Ya Guineas Prelude Chance

Todd Blum Bloodstock will be keeping a close eye on the Caulfield Giuneas Prelude tomorrow at Caulfield with the Mayford Park part-owned, I'm Telling Ya, lining up in the field on his way to the Group 1 feature. I'm Telling Ya is trained at Mornington by Amy Johnston who has had a high opinion of this colt since purchasing him at the 2015 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale for the bargain price of $20,000. The Reward For Effort colt is out of the Success Express mare, Rapid Sensation, who was a three time winner and Group 2 placed during her career.

Faatinah Adds More Value for Rawoof

The Lindsay Park trained Faatinah continued his good form on Saturday at Flemington, winning the Group 2 Bobbie Lewis Quality, over 1200m. It was a brilliant ride by Regan Bayliss who has also been in impressive form since arriving at the Lindsay Park operation after the closing of Peter Moody's stable. David Hayes has always had a high opinion of the son of Nicconi who is now a two-time Group 2 winner. The immediate plan for the four-year-old is the Group 2 Gilgai Stakes, also over 1200m, on October 2 but Hayes has hinted that a visit to Dubai to race in front of his owner, Sheik Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, could be on the cards. Frankie Stockdale's Sepoy x Rossa Mia colt clocked the fastest time at the Cranbourne breeze-ups for the Inglis Ready 2 Race Sale in October. The Sepoy colt was one of 140 two-year-old's that galloped 200m in front of prospective buyers and clocked a speedy time of 10:26 on the track which was rated Good. The Sepoy colt was a $52,500 buy for Frankie Stockdale and Todd Blum Bloodstock and was ear-marked for the Ready 2 Race Sale. This colt is the second foal out of the Testa Rossa mare, Rossa Mia, who's first foal is the city placed October Tutu.
