Shane Nichols will have two live chances in two days to continue his winning run. Band On The Run heads to Geelong Synthetic on Tuesday and I Am The General heads to Sportsbet-Ballarat on Wednesday. The Shane Nichols trained gelding finished 11th of 11 on the turf the start before he won at his first go on the new surface. Mayford Park have bought into Adam O'Neill's exciting filly Host x Northeast Note. The deal brokered by Todd Blum Bloodstock will see Bruce Maya's Mayford Park have interest in an O'Neill trained horse for the first time. "To see what the half to this filly did at Cranbourne the other day was exceptional," explained Maya. "At the value this filly represents and the potential she has after the significant updates with the weanling and two year old at the races and sales on Sunday she is worth a crack." He concluded. Todd Blum Bloodstock were active on the last day of the Great Southern Sale purchasing two lots, both of which were tried horses for new clients. Lot 715, Mattan, was purchased in conjunction with Adam O'Neill Racing is what is the first step in a partnership that will be ever more prominent with the two young parties joining forces.
